Cheryl M. Hughey is a business professional with over 35 years of regional and property management experience.

The inspiration for her book came from several deeply personal sources. Cheryl is a survivor of domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault. She also endured the pain of grieving a dear friend who was killed by her abuser, as well as the devastating rape and murder of her daughter's nine-year-old friend.

Amid these tragedies, Cheryl stopped writing, overwhelmed by the weight of her experiences.

However, after meeting her husband, Terry, he learned about the traumatic events she had endured. Rather than judging her, Terry encouraged and inspired her to complete her book, which he then published.
